Since receiving the pocket radar I have been using it for speed control in our campground! Although it doesn't go down to the 5mph that is our speed limit, it's enough to slow down the traffic! The word got around that if you were caught doing more than 8mph you would be asked to leave your golf cart/ or car parked, a second violation means getting booted from the park! Great piece of equipment!

The decision to buy the App System Accessories Bundle was a no brainer for me. I have 2 sons that train all the time and I give lessons as well as coach youth from 8yrs old all the way to 22 years old. No matter what age, they love the competitive nature of seeing the read-out of their velocities when pitching or hitting. It is a motivator!

The smart coach pocket radar and display are completely worthwhile investments and have a great payoff for aspiring young players. The world of pitching velocity and exit velocity is here to stay and dominates the baseball world. My kids train more when they're chasing something like velocity. I bought the bundled radar and display and it is awesome!

I bought the Ball Coach Radar to get a baseline on my 10U son’s velocity for both pitching and hitting. It is easy to use and a great investment to track his progress. If you want to track weight loss you buy a scale, if you want to track throwing and hitting velocity you buy a pocket radar. It is accurate and reliable. Highly recommend!

This tool is very accurate, I tested it at my sons baseball facility, right next to the stalker gun. They both were registering the exact speed consistently. Awesome product !

I had a student who had a hard time believing what my Pocket Radar was reading regarding his tennis serve. Once I demonstrated the calibration process utilizing the tuning fork, all doubt was erased and we could once again get on with the training he was paying me for....

We Are not family or friends of anyone at Pocket Radar and have been using Pocket Radar since 2020 and am 💯 % satisfied. First off their customer service is 10/10. Whenever I have had a question about my pocket radar including accuracy or functionality, the customer service Personnel have immediately picked up my phone call and responded to me. We use our Pocket Radar for two baseball players one who is now playing in college and the other who is a junior/17u. We use the devices for both pitching and hitting to measure throwing velocity as well as exit velocity. The best example I can cite is that my son went to a college showcase and we had a question about the velocity being read on his fastball by the college coaching staff. The reason why we were concerned is because the person operating the Pocket Radar had it angled towards the ground and he was moving it as the pitch was being released. I contacted Pocket Radar and Chris Stewart the president and CEO got on the phone which was surprising to me and told me to send him video of my sons pitching which I had available and he would analyze it to see if the readings that the Pocket Radar was displaying were accurate. To have a CEO take the time to work directly with a customer is a level of service that is in rarefied air. Clearly this company is operating at an extremely high level with a tremendous product that does not break and customer service that is outstanding. I highly recommend purchasing Pocket Radar to anybody as we are 100% satisfied.

I've owned a pocket radar since 2015. It's been fantastic! When the opportunity arose to upgrade to the latest model it was an absolute no-brainer! Great product, evolutionary and revolutionary product, easy company to do business with.

Bought this product to record velocity while performing specific throwing program drills. Compared to my jugs radar gun, the velocity is comparable and very accurate and as an added bonus, by using a supplemental battery pack with the pocket radar, I do not have problems with inconsistent readings that you can get with jugs when the batteries start to drain, which is pretty quickly. Out of over 200+ readings. I have had only one completely false reading and three ghost readings (baseball had not been thrown). Highly recommend for anybody who needs a long lasting gun to record 50+ readings per session. As an added bonus, the tripod is super easy to use and comes with a carrying case both for the radar gun and for the tripod. If you are training to throw harder, this is a very valuable tool to assess real time progress.

The radar itself is great - accurate, handy, reliable. I also consider the app part of the product. Coupled with the app, this is an unbeatable package for parents of pitchers. I would only recommend the Smart Coach + the app.

We have a few other tools, but the Smart Radar is really the only tool you need. We screen cast the app to a TV to give our athletes instant visibility. Well worth the spend.

This an all around great tool! I recommend it to all coaches and parents.

It all works as advertised. However, I wish the video that I record through the app could be saved with or without the velocities. Currently if you record in the app, you have the velo overlays and I don't always want them. Reasoning - I am trying to build a recruiting video for my son and I only want to show velo's for certain pitches, as to show him in the best possible light. Since it doesn't do this, I have to have my wife record outside the app with her phone as well.

This was the perfect package for our needs. Love the pocket radar and the tripod and charging cable make it perfect for all day tournaments at the park. Perfect to pair with sideline hd to monitor speeds like a MLB game.

After working with the Pocket Radar and the App it allows athletes to immediately see their progress. The ability to analyze videos with the instant feedback from a velocity standpoint is a great to allow athletes to make adjustments and see them work.

I have been using the smart coach to help me practice disc golf in the winter using a throwing net indoors. Setting up the tripod just about 8' behind me, leaving just a few feet between me and the net, and with throws very much on the low end of what the specs say it can detect, it still has given a reading on every throw. I love the continuous video mode where I can take several throws in a row and review them with automatically cut video. Looking forward to outdoor use! Battery drain is high, but that's what USB power packs are for.

Sadly, Pocket Radar drowned my illusions of how fast I could serve. On the plus side, it is easy to operate and I'm very happy I spent the extra $100 for the ability to connect with my phone. Hearing the speed announced instead of having to squint to see the screen 40 feet away is worth every penny. Before this I had a cheap radar system, $99 or so, which was inaccurate and inconsistent. Having reliable information is the only way to improve. I'm very satisfied with my Smart Coach Radar.

As advertised. Can not state enough, how advantageous the right tool is to a baseball program. Kids are having fun with it and I wish I had this when I was young. The ability to link to a smart phone and the tripod is great for setting up a station for practice.
