Ball Coach Sports Radar used at Baseball Youth Camps across the U.S.

by Tyler Scaturro September 12, 2016

This past spring we were contacted about any interest in donating a few Ball Coach radar units for use during the Headfirst MLB Summer Camps.  This year they were introducing objective measurements, such as exit velocity and throwing velocity, in order to provide the campers with scouting reports.  After some initial research about who they are and what they provide, we were happy to help out.

Here’s a little more background:  The Headfirst Companies are proud to partner as the official provider of Boston Red Sox Baseball Camps, Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps, Washington Nationals Baseball Summer Camps, Atlanta Braves Camps and New York Yankees Baseball Summer Camps in the Boston, Chicago, DC, Atlanta and New York Metropolitan areas. Campers ages 5-13 enjoy a “Major League Experience” and the same foundation and mission of developing each player’s personal potential — as a player and as a person.

The Ball Coach radar provides accurate speed measurements that have allowed players to develop a new level of confidence in hopes of improving their skills over time. Confidence is an acquired skill that is developed over time, but is key when training and performing.

We look forward to hearing more from the Headfirst MLB Summer Camps team, and if you have any questions or would like to share your Pocket Radar stories, please give is a call toll-free at 888-381-2672 from 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time, or e-mail us at info@PocketRadar.com
