New Partnership Connects Seam's Real-Time Pitch Calling App with Pocket Radar's Precision Velocity Data Through the Pocket Radar PLUS Platform

August 7, 2026  — Pocket Radar, the industry-leading provider of precision velocity tracking, and Seam, the real-time pitch calling app built for baseball and softball coaches, today announced a new integration that connects live pitch-calling data with real-time velocity tracking. Available through the Pocket Radar PLUS platform, the integration gives coaches, catchers, and players a single connected view of what pitch was called and how hard it was thrown, in the moment it happens.

The integration links Seam's in-game pitch calls delivered instantly from a coach's iPhone to a catcher's Apple Watch with Pocket Radar's Smart Coach velocity readings inside the Pocket Radar Sports app. Every pitch called through Seam can now be paired with its corresponding velocity, giving each coaching staff a clearer, more connected picture of pitch selection, execution, and effort level as the game unfolds.

Seam's Arm Guard pairs world-class Pocket Radar pitch velocities with its own advanced pitch-count and workload analytics, tracking each pitcher's live velocity trend against age-tuned limits to surface fatigue the moment it emerges. Right on the coach's screen mid-game, it turns those readings into clear, real-time guidance. A live fatigue ring and alerts so coaches can make smarter, safer arm-care decisions before a tired arm becomes an injured one.

“Coaches have always had to choose between calling a great game and capturing great data. This integration means they no longer have to,” said Terrell Sosebee, Founder of Seam. “We built Seam to get rid of missed signs and speed up the game, but coaches kept telling us they wanted to know what each call actually produced on the radar. Now that data shows up automatically, right alongside the call itself, so staffs can see not just what was called, but how it performed without adding a single extra step to their game.”

Pocket Radar's precision radar guns have become a staple in baseball and softball development, trusted by coaches and athletes for accurate velocity data that helps monitor effort, manage arm health, and detect fatigue. Seam, meanwhile, has quickly become known among travel ball, high school, and college programs for eliminating missed or stolen signs and speeding up the pace of play with direct, wrist-delivered pitch calls.

“Our integration with Seam brings velocity tracking directly into the flow of a real game, not just the bullpen,” said Aaron Barrows, Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships of Pocket Radar. “Coaches using Seam to call pitches can now see exactly how that call translated into velocity, pitch after pitch, without ever taking their eyes off the field. It’s another way we’re making pro-level insight part of the everyday game for teams at every level, and a natural extension of what Pocket Radar PLUS is built to do: connect the tools coaches already trust into one seamless experience.”

The Pocket Radar and Seam integration is now live and available to all Pocket Radar PLUS subscribers who use Seam. Together, the companies are closing the loop between in-game decision-making and measurable performance, giving coaches and players a faster, more connected way to develop.
