Pocket Radar At MLB Winter Meetings

by Pocket Radar December 31, 2010

Pocket Radar got our first chance to attend the MLB Winter Meetings in Orlando this month. We were very excited since we already had several Major League teams using the Pocket Radar and we wanted to get a chance to meet with all of the clubs. We were afforded the opportunity to demonstrate the amazing accuracy of the Pocket Radar to managers, farm directors and scouting directors of nearly every Major League team in attendance.  The response was spectacular, as everyone was impressed at how well the Pocket Radar performed when compared to their current radar guns, given that it was so much more convenient and affordable. It was great fun speaking with representatives from MLB teams, capped off when former Los Angeles Dodgers skipper, Tommy Lasorda, paid us a visit and spent 30 minutes chatting and telling stories about his time in the Major Leagues.

We also had the opportunity to speak with a few members of the media who were interested in some of the new technologies available to Major League Baseball.  One of our conversations resulted in a great piece in the New York Times.

By the end of the show we had put Pocket Radar into the hands of almost every Major League team and were inundated with requests for additional units.
