How We Collect and Use “Personal Information”

“Personal Information,” as used in this Policy, is information that specifically identifies an individual, such as, but not limited to, an individual’s name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. Personal Information also includes information about an individual’s activities, such as information about his or her activity inside our Service, and demographic information, such as date of birth, gender, geographic area, and preferences, when any of this information is linked to Personal Information that identifies that individual.

Personal Information does not include “Anonymous Information” or other non-personally identifiable information. Anonymous Information is information collected about a group or category of products or users that is not personally identifiable, or from which individual identities are removed. We may use and disclose this Anonymous Information, and other non-personally identifiable information, for various purposes.

Collection of Personal Information

We collect Personal Information that our users provide to us in a variety of ways on the Service. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

Purchases: If you provide your payment card information on the Service we will use your payment card information and related payment and account information, as well as your name and mailing address if applicable, for the purpose of filling your purchases or collecting payment of recurring fees, if applicable. To assist in processing payment, Pocket Radar will share this Personal Data with a third party commerce provider. Pocket Radar does not store or have access to your payment information.

E-mail Correspondence: We may offer e-mail newsletters from time to time on the Service. If you subscribe (“sign up”) to receive a newsletter from us, we collect your e-mail address.

SMS Opt-In Disclosure:
By submitting this form and signing up for texts, you consent to receive marketing text messages (e.g. promos, cart reminders) from Pocket Radar Inc. at the number provided, including messages sent by autodialer. User Accounts and Profiles: We will collect the Personal Information that you provide to us in the course of registering for an account or creating or updating a user profile. This information may include but is not limited to, name, grad year, zip code, telephone number, e-mail address, and demographic information about you such as gender and age. We may indicate that some Personal Information (such as your HS Grad Year) is required for you to register for the account or to create the profile, while some are optional.

Integrated Services: You may be given the option to “Sign In” to the Service through the use of your user name and password through certain services provided by third parties (each an “Integrated Service”), such as through the use of your Facebook credentials through Sign in with Facebook. By doing this, you authorize us to access and store the credentials you provide and your name. You should check your privacy settings on the Integrated Service to understand and change the information sent to us through that Integrated Service. Please review each Integrated Service’s terms of use and privacy policies carefully before using their services and connecting to our Service.

Customer Support: When you interact with our customer support representatives via the Service, telephone or in person, we may collect Personal Data relevant to the situation, such as your name, mailing address, phone number, email address and contact preferences; information about the Pocket Radar products you own, such as their serial numbers, date of purchase and (if applicable) event logs that are useful in diagnosing product or application performance related issues; and information relating to a support or service issue. We use this information to provide you with customer and product support.

Contests and Sweepstakes: We or our advertisers and other business partners may conduct or sponsor special contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions that users may enter or otherwise participate in on the Service. Certain of these promotions may be co-branded with one of our advertisers or other business partners. In these instances, the collection of your Personal Information may occur directly by the third-party partner on its website or other online service and may be shared with us. The promotion will state the Privacy Policy or policies governing the collection of such Personal Information.

Cookies and Similar Technology

To help analyze how you and other visitors navigate the Service, and compile aggregate statistics about usage and response rates, we, with assistance from third-party analytics service providers, collect certain information when you use the Service. We track and collect data from users about their usage of the Service. The types of analytical information that are collected include, but are not limited to, the date and time the device accesses our servers, software version, the geographic location of the device, language, what information and files have been downloaded to the device, user behavior (e.g. what features used, frequency of use), device state information, device model, hardware and operating system information, and information relating to how the device functions. Pocket Radar uses this data to improve the quality and functionality of the Service; to develop and market products, services and features that best serve you and other users; and to help identify and fix usability problems as quickly as possible. Pocket Radar may disclose and share Personal Information of our users with any third party, including without limitation, colleges, major and minor league sports leagues, teams and each of their affiliated entities and scouting organizations for scouting and player evaluation purposes, and the use, disclosure, and retention of Personal Information disclosed in this manner will be subject to their policies and practices.

Analytics and Tracking

Google Analytics is used to track site statistics and user demographics, interests and behavior on websites. When you use our Service, we and our third-party service providers may collect certain information by automated means, such as cookies, web beacons and web server logs. The information collected in this manner may include IP address, browser characteristics, device IDs and characteristics, operating system version, language preferences, referring URLs, and information about the usage of our Service. We may link this data to your profile. Links, Third Party Apps, and Third Parties’ Privacy Practices

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by Pocket Radar, and Service may contain Apps that you can download from third parties. These linked sites and Apps are not under our control and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any linked sites and Apps. If you use any third-party sites or Apps, any Personal Information collected by the third party’s site or Apps will be controlled by the privacy policy of that third party. We recommend that you carefully review the privacy statements of any third parties to which you provide Personal Information.

In Regards to Children

The information collection parts of our Service are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (16 if you are in the EU), and we request that individuals under 13 (16 if you are in the EU) not provide Personal Information to Pocket Radar through any Pocket Radar Service. If we learn that we have collected the Personal Information from a child under 13 (16 if you are in the EU), we will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible. Social Sharing

We may provide you with the option of sharing your speed numbers, videos and other information captured with the Service through social media outlets, email and text. You also may have the option to export the data you have captured inside the Service to share with yourself or others.

We may disclose anonymous, non-personally identifiable location information to assist third parties, such as our partners and original equipment manufacturers, in understanding our users’ interests, habits, and usage patterns.

International

Our servers and data centers are located in the United States. If you choose to use the Service from outside the U.S., then you should know that you are transferring your Personal Information outside of your region and into the U.S. for storage and processing. By providing your Personal Information to us through your use of the Service, you agree to that transfer, storage, and processing in the U.S. Also, we may transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Service.
