Millburn High School (N.J) Coach Brian Chapman was named National High School (Div. 2) Coach of the Year by the Amateur Baseball Coaches Association
Brian Chapman is one of many coaches in multiple sports that has found the value of adding speed measurements into practice as a powerful training aid for their players and coaching methods. Unlike the bulkier and more expensive radar guns of the past, used exclusively by scouts to measure fastball velocity, the Ball Coach radar was designed as a training tool for coaches and athletes. We’ve been using it with our pitchers but also with our position players to give them an idea of how they compare with other kids at their position. We recently began using it with our hitters, too.
