"More Than a Radar Gun," with Scott Patterson

by Tyler Scaturro July 23, 2020

"It’s more than a radar gun right now.  Its replacing the cheering parents, the groaning opponents, it replaces the hitter in the batter’s box, the umpire and the coach.  It’s a part of his purpose- it’s an outlet.  Sounds crazy and dramatic I know, but for the players it’s real."

Setting and Achieving Goals, with Abigail and Her Dad

by Tyler Scaturro July 06, 2020

"It has really helped Abigail with her goals and seeing her progress with max velo and what I like to call max sustained velo. If her max all out is 55 MPH, As a coach I want to know what is her max all out at pitch 40-60-80. Then we can work backwards pitch by pitch and see where it begins to drop off and find a sustained speed that she can have at pitch 40-60-80."

by Tyler Scaturro June 09, 2020

I have had the luxury of using the Smart Coach Radar App System for the past year and a half. It has been a wonderful tool in tracking my players throwing velo from the outfield, infield, and pitching positions. It's also very good for tracking exit velo. I use it at home in my backyard with my sons Evan who will be going into fifth grade and Kaleb who will be playing in his second year of college.
